Project Description: YueFest is an Asian music festival that I envisioned and then designed advertisements and merchandise for in order to demonstrate a professional understanding of graphic design and how it is closely tied to the commercial aspects of businesses.

Project Concept: The concept was to create a music festival that served several purposes. The first was to bring enjoyment of music and appreciation of traditional Chinese instruments such as the guqin and guzheng. The second function of the design was to make people aware of environmental issues and to raise money to support environmental groups such as the group that protects the forest around the Great Wall of China. The music festival design ideas came together to create a tranquil and classical venue. Elements were included with serif type for headings and san serif type for paragraphs in order to provide a sense of balance.
